Hide Folders is more than its name implies. Besides helping you conceal your private directories from prying eyes, this program also enables you to hide individual files from your local drive, lock folders and documents with passwords, change the status of your data into Read-Only, and so much more.

The utility can hide and/or lock as many folders and files as you like, password-protect the stored items, and quickly apply the necessary changes without slowing down your PC. You can check out the integrated help manual to learn more about the program's features, how to use certain features, etc.

Another important advantage is the fact that it can immediately wipe the tracks of the concealed documents and directories. As soon as you enable the wipe track option, the program clears the "Recent" folder (from the File Explorer), remove itself from recently used tools, etc.

I also like the fact that you have the ability to include Hide Folders commands into File Explorer's contextual menu. Some of the commands include: "Hide and lock with Hide Folders", "Hide with Hide Folders", etc.

To be honest, I can't find a single bad thing to say about this utility as it worked flawlessly during my testing. And even though you can easily find cheaper solutions, they aren't as efficient or feature-rich as Hide Folders.
